1. About JUST RENT

JUST RENT is an online property rental marketplace that connects tenants with property owners and property consultants/brokers for residential and commercial rental properties.

JUST RENT may provide features including property listings, property search, identity and property verification, controlled contact sharing, tenant enquiries, visit scheduling, property availability confirmation, listing management, and other related services.

JUST RENT acts as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Eligibility and User Accounts

To use certain features of JUST RENT, users may be required to create an account and provide accurate information.

JUST RENT reserves the right to suspend, restrict, reject, or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.

• Provide true, accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials and OTPs.
• Do not create fraudulent, misleading, duplicate, or unauthorized accounts.
• Immediately notify JUST RENT of unauthorized account use.
• Be responsible for activities conducted through the account, where permitted by applicable law.

3. User Categories

JUST RENT may provide separate services and features for tenants, property owners, property consultants/brokers, and other authorized users.

Users must select and use the appropriate account category and must not misrepresent their identity, ownership status, professional status, or authority in relation to a property.

4. Property Listings

Property owners and brokers are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted for a property listing is accurate, complete, lawful, and not misleading.

Users must not list properties that they do not own or are not legally authorized to represent.

JUST RENT may review, verify, approve, reject, modify, suspend, or remove any listing at its discretion, particularly where fraud, misleading information, policy violations, or legal concerns are identified.

5. Verification

JUST RENT may offer identity verification, property verification, and availability verification features. A verification badge or status indicates that certain information or documents were reviewed or confirmed through the platform’s applicable verification process.

Verification does not constitute a guarantee regarding legal ownership, title or encumbrance status, accuracy of every statement, physical condition, future availability, suitability, or the conduct or intentions of any user. Users are responsible for independent checks before entering a rental transaction.

6. Property Availability

Property owners and brokers must keep availability status accurate and up to date. If a property is rented, unavailable, withdrawn, or otherwise no longer available, the owner or broker should promptly update or deactivate the listing.

JUST RENT may request confirmation of availability. Failure to respond may result in a listing being temporarily deactivated or removed from active search results.

JUST RENT does not guarantee that a property displayed as available will remain available when a tenant contacts the owner, schedules a visit, or intends to enter into a rental agreement.

7. Controlled Contact Sharing

JUST RENT may provide controlled sharing of contact information. Where this feature applies, a tenant may submit a request to contact a property owner or broker, who may approve or reject the request.

Users must not misuse contact information obtained through JUST RENT for spam or unsolicited marketing, harassment, fraud, unauthorized data collection, or any unlawful purpose.

8. Enquiries and Visit Scheduling

JUST RENT may allow users to submit enquiries and request property visits. A visit request or confirmation does not constitute a reservation, a guarantee that the property will be rented, a legally binding agreement, or a guarantee regarding property condition or suitability.

Users are responsible for communicating with each other and conducting visits safely and appropriately. JUST RENT is not responsible for the outcome of meetings, visits, negotiations, or interactions between users.

9. Tenant and User Conduct

All users must use the platform lawfully and respectfully. JUST RENT may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these requirements.

• Provide false or misleading information.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Upload fraudulent or unauthorized documents.
• Post illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or abusive content.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse another user.
• Manipulate platform systems or verification processes.
• Collect user data without authorization.
• Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized activities.
• Attempt unauthorized access to the platform or another user’s account.

10. Listing Fees and Payments

Certain listing plans, premium features, or other services may require payment. Applicable pricing, taxes, and service details will be displayed on the platform or communicated before payment.

Unless otherwise stated, payment does not guarantee a specific number of enquiries, a tenant, a successful rental transaction, a particular search ranking, a specific number of property views, or a particular rental price.

JUST RENT may modify future pricing or plans at its discretion. Changes will not ordinarily affect services already purchased, except where required by law or otherwise stated.

11. Refunds

Refund eligibility, where applicable, shall be governed by the refund policy displayed at the time of purchase or by applicable law.

Payments may not be refundable where a listing, service, verification process, or paid feature has already been activated, delivered, or substantially used, subject to applicable law.

JUST RENT reserves the right to investigate payment disputes, fraudulent transactions, and chargebacks.

12. Taxes

Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, may be charged in addition to or as part of the displayed price.

Users are responsible for complying with their own applicable tax obligations arising from rental income, brokerage, or other transactions.

13. Rental Transactions and Agreements

JUST RENT is not automatically a party to any rental agreement entered into between a tenant and property owner.

Users are independently responsible for negotiating rental terms, verifying property and ownership, reviewing rental terms, paying rent or deposits, obtaining legal or professional advice where necessary, executing rental agreements, and completing applicable registrations or legal formalities.

Any rental agreement generated, facilitated, or made available through the platform should be reviewed by the relevant parties and, where appropriate, by a qualified legal professional.

14. User Content and Documents

Users remain responsible for the information, photographs, documents, and other content they submit. By uploading content to JUST RENT, users confirm that they have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to provide such content for use on the platform.

Users must not upload documents or content that violate another person’s privacy, intellectual property rights, or applicable law.

15. Privacy and Data

JUST RENT may collect and process personal information and documents as necessary to provide its services, including registration, verification, listing management, enquiries, payments, and platform security.

The collection and use of personal data are governed by the applicable Privacy Policy and applicable law.

16. Third-Party Services

JUST RENT may integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, identity verification providers, SMS providers, cloud services, mapping services, and app-store services.

JUST RENT is not responsible for failures, interruptions, policies, or actions of independent third-party service providers, except to the extent required by applicable law. Users may also be subject to third-party terms and policies.

17. Intellectual Property

The JUST RENT name, branding, logos, platform design, content, software, and other intellectual property are protected by applicable laws.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the platform without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder.

18. Suspension and Termination

JUST RENT may suspend, restrict, deactivate, or terminate a user account or property listing where it reasonably believes that the user has violated these Terms, provided false or misleading information, engaged in suspected fraud, submitted documents or listings that cannot be satisfactorily verified, created a risk to the platform or another user, or where action is required by applicable law.

Where appropriate, JUST RENT may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JUST RENT shall not be responsible for disputes, losses, damages, injuries, fraud, misrepresentations, payment disputes, rental disputes, or other issues arising directly between tenants, owners, brokers, or other users.

JUST RENT does not guarantee availability of every listed property, accuracy of every user-provided statement, that a tenant will find a suitable property, that an owner or broker will find a tenant, the conduct or reliability of any user, or successful completion of a rental transaction.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

20. Changes to the Platform or Terms

JUST RENT may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or services from time to time. These Terms may also be updated periodically.

Continued use of the platform after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from the use of JUST RENT shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
